2005 Lincoln Town Car Signature With 26K Miles Up For Auction

Today, the Lincoln Town Car is one of many old school, full-size, V8-powered American sedans that no longer exists, along with its Panther platform counterparts, the Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis. In recent months, we’ve started to see collector interest in this particular models rise, likely as a result of the fact that they just don’t exist in the new vehicle market anymore. That’s sure to be the case with this rather low-mile example of a 2005 Lincoln Town Car as well, which is currently up for auction.

This 2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer with a mere 26k miles on the clock, certainly a reasonable total for a vehicle of this vintage. It has also lived its entire life with the original owner after being sold new in Ohio, and as such, it remains in pretty stellar condition. There are a few light flaws marring the Light Tundra Metallic paint, but nothing too serious, as the big, luxurious sedan looks quite nice in the photos provided.

The same is true of the interior, which features Light Parchment leather seats with the typical creasing, along with wood trim and amenities such as a rear window defroster, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, power-adjustable pedals, an AM/FM/cassette stereo with an in-dash single-disc CD changer, and power windows and locks.

Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to send 239 horsepower and 287 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.

This is just one of many nice, lower-mile Lincoln Town Car models we’ve spotted at auction recently in what is becoming a bit of a trend. That list also includes – among others – a 2006 model with 53k miles that surfaced for sale nearly a year ago, as well as a 2008 with a mere 2k miles showing on the odometer.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

    1. I bet many of them come from areas like Sun City in Arizona. Lots of retirees that don’t put on many miles and use their golf cart more often than not.

  2. I have bought a 2008 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited last March. I traded in a 2015 Cadillac ATS with 97,000 miles for the Lincoln with 72,600 miles. I have wanted one since the late seventies. She gets a lot of attention on the road!

  8. I,too have a 2005 Lincoln TC Signature Limited with unfortunately 248000 miles. That is the only unfortunate thing about it. I bought it in Clearwater, FL in2013 with 32000 on it. Same color as the one on BAT. Everything is working, does not burn oil, the trany is humming. The worst part is the driver seat. Other than that it is the best riding car I have driven. I’m on my fourth Lincoln a 2017 Continental with 50000 miles. Needless to say the famous Lincoln ride you don’t get with the Continental unless you have the Black Label model. I started owning Lincoln TC slice 1993.
