We’ve seen our fair share of cool Ford E-Series conversions pop up for auction in recent years, a testament to how popular that particular model is – even though it’s no longer sold in van configurations. Despite that fact, there are plenty of folks keen to convert older E-Series vans into portable living spaces, and they’re the perfect vessels for such a job, too, with lots of space inside just waiting to accommodate things like beds, kitchens, and other amenities. Now, this 2009 Ford E-350 Super Duty camper conversion joins that list, as it just surfaced for sale, too.
This 2009 Ford E-350 is up for grabs at Bring a Trailer some time after it was originally converted to four-wheel drive by Quigley Motor Company of Manchester, Pennsylvania when new. From there, a host of equipment was added to the exterior, including an RB power-operated pop-up top with a sleeping loft, an Aluminess roof rack and bumpers, a Warn winch, Bushwacker fender flares, Rigid Industries LED auxiliary lights, KC driving lights, solar panels, a lithium battery system, holding tanks, and American Racing Outlaw II alloy wheels wrapped with 285/70 BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires.
There’s much more to be found inside the cabin, a list that includes Shou Sugi Ban-style wood trim, a galley, a table that converts to a sleeping surface, a hydronic heater, storage cabinets, an Isotherm refrigerator, a True Induction cooktop, a folding faucet, and a stainless-steel sink, plus an outdoor shower system.
Power comes from the Ford 5.4L V8, which was factory-rated to produce 255 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, and the Ford E-350 rides on a lifted suspension, to boot.
These types of camper conversions remain quite popular, and we’ve certainly seen our fair share of them cross the auction block as of late. That list also previously included a 2013 Ford E-350 Sportsmobile, as well as heavily modified 2004 Ford E-350 once owned by the late Jimmy Buffett.
