Earlier this week, an all-new Ford Bronco model destined for China popped up on that country’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology site, giving us our very first look at what appears to be a larger version of the Ford Bronco Sport, at least, stylistically speaking. The regular Bronco is already on sale in China, produced there for the local market, but this brand new version is quite a lot different in pretty much every way – including its electrified powertrain options. Now, the new Chinese Ford Bronco has officially debuted.
On the outside, this new Ford Bronco model certainly looks like a larger Bronco Sport, but is has some unique features, including an illuminated “Bronco” script in the front grille, coupled with a “see-through” air duct strip in the hood – something designed to improve airflow and range. One will also notice that this SUV has quite a lot of cameras placed all around it – 30 in total, in fact – which are paired with LiDAR technology to provide certain autonomous driving capabilities.
The new Chinese Ford Bronco will be produced in China by Jiangling Ford, just like its bigger brother, but that’s essentially where the similarities end. In fact, this new model will be offered with two powertrains that no other Bronco has at the moment – an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) setup, as well as a pure EV option. The EREV utilizes a turbocharged 1.5L gas range extender with two electric motors – a 130 kW unit up front and a 180 kW piece in the rear – as well as a 43.7 kWh battery pack. Pure EV range comes in at 220 kilometers (137 miles), or 1,220 kilometers (758 miles) with the gas extender added to the mix.
As for the EV, it utilizes a 105.4 kWh battery pack, along with a 130 kW electric motor up front and a 202 kW unit out back, delivering 650 kilometers (404 miles) of max range. Other than these interesting features, the new Chinese Ford Bronco also touts advanced navigation features such as route planning and sharing, to boot. The electrified SUV is slated to launch in Q4 2025, which is notable given the fact that The Blue Oval previously stated that we wound’t see an EREV model surface until at least 2027.
Joining the Puma Gen-E in that regard.
Shame this never made it to production.
A nice example of the large sedan.
Sales increased 11 percent to 8,918 units during the first seven months of 2025.
The patient is expected to make it.

.... yeah, and it's still a baby Bronco
Nothing wrong with a baby bronco I love my 2022 bronco sport big bend!
5,025 mm
It's bigger than the big Bronco.
It's a wonder that the China Gov. would allow a (Spy Vehicle) w/30 Camera's to be offered to their Citizens. They have to realize we are getting back at them for their Spy Balloon. Imagine Ford will have thousands of these special edition Spy units running all over China taking photos.
I think it looks better and more modern than the U.S. version
Me too...they need to get them to be available in the USA.
It looks nicer than what we have here in western markets.
