Ford Dealer Wins Triple Crown Award For 17th Straight Year

Each year, Ford hands out a very special accolade to its dealers called the Triple Crown Award – which is focused on not only sales, but also, excellence in customer service, and vehicle service/parts. It’s been around since 2001, though only a small percentage of sellers win the Triple Crown Award each year – in 2024, only 41 Ford dealer locations across the U.S. brought home that accolade, out of 2,900 in total. All of this makes the fact that Village Ford just won its 17th consecutive Triple Crown Award all the more special.

Village Ford Dealership Dearborn Michigan

According to the Detroit Free Press, Village Ford is the only Ford dealer to ever win a Triple Crown Award for 17 straight years, which is even more impressive given the fact that it’s located very close to the automaker’s Dearborn-based headquarters. That location was originally purchased by Henry Ford himself back in 1947, though it didn’t become Village Ford until 1982, when it was purchased by Jim Seavitt, who still owns it to this day.

“It means a lot to win it, and it means a lot more to me because I’m right here in the shadow of World Headquarters,” Seavitt said. “It means a lot to my employees. It’s the pride that we take in it. Some years are harder than others. It can depend on Ford recalls, or it could be economic problems across the United States. We’ve been through all that in 17 years. But we’ve managed to win it all those times.” Ford CEO Jim Farley himself handed Village Ford its most recent Triple Crown Award, calling it “an incredible achievement.”

To bring home Ford’s Triple Crown Award, dealers must win three others in the same year – the President’s Award, Top Volume, and Premier Club. The President’s Award is focused on providing excellent customer satisfaction in sales and service, while the Top Volume award highlights the top 100 dealers in terms of retail vehicle sales, and Premier Club rewards dealers that post the best results in terms of service protection or parts departments.

  1. Does Lincoln also hand out Triple Crown Awards (or something comparable) each year?

  2. Nice to see there’s some dealers worthy of recognition. My local Ford dealers in NW Florida are awful, both sales and service. It prompted me to go out of state and 5 hours away to buy both my Focus and Bronco. Hopefully Ford can turn up the heat on poor performing or rated dealers, it really is a bad reflection on the brand.
