As Ford Authority reported last week, the Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck EV demonstrator was tabbed as one of a host of Blue Oval models heading to the UK for the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it was set to compete in the legendary, long-running Goodwood Hillclimb Shootout this past weekend. The appearance is a follow-up to its successful stint at the 2024 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where the Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck claimed a new qualifying record for the open class, as well as an overall victory.
Thus, it should come as no surprise that the Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck was also quite impressive at the Goodwood Hillclimb Shootout, too. There, the EV pickup blazed up the 1.16 -mile course in just 43.23 seconds with Romain Dumas behind the wheel, who also piloted the SuperTruck to its overall win at Pikes Peak. It managed to do that with an impressive array of kit that includes three STARD UHP 6-Phase Motors and Ultra-High Performance Li-Polymer NMC cells, which generate a combined 1,600 horsepower, fed by a rather small 50 kWh battery pack, along with aero that generates 6,000 pounds of downforce at 150 miles-per-hour.
The Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck was joined at Goodwood by the Ford Mustang GTD, which itself just became one of the fastest production vehicles to ever lap Germany’s Nurburgring. With Dirk Muller behind the wheel, the ultimate pony car finished in the top 10 at the 2025 Goodwood Hillclimb Shootout, claiming eighth place with a time of 50.78 seconds.

Ford took the time to also celebrate 60 years of the Transit by running every iteration of Supervan from the original 1971 version right up to the 2024 Supervan 4.2 up the hill this year, too. All of these impressive machines were joined by quite a few one-off Blue Oval builds – such as the Dakar Rally racing Ford Raptor T1+ pickup, most notably.
