Garbage Pail Kids Ford F-100 Revealed For San Diego Comic Con

Greenlight Collectibles has pulled the sheets off some cute (if not somewhat grotesque) model Ford vehicles lately, paying homage to the Garbage Pail Kids (GPK) line of toys and trading cards from the 1980s. Take the 1980 Ford Bronco “Super Snotty” or the 1967 Ford Mustang with a slightly dark GPK theme. With San Diego Comic Con 2025 right around the corner, there’s a new kid on the block: the exclusive GPK-inspired Ford F-100.

The GPK line has officially reached 40 years old, prompting Greenlight to release the unique, limited-edition model Ford F-100. There are two variants on offer, including one with a lime green paint scheme and a “GBK 40th Anniversary” logo emblazoned on the doors. There’s also a chrome green version, which, as Greenlight puts it, is “gleaming, gag-worthy, and totally GPK.”

“A nod to 80s nostalgia and diecast detail, this chase is a must-have for collectors and GPK fans alike,” the toymaker stated on social media. “This is your chance to own a filthy-fun twist on a classic truck.”

Pricing for the little Ford F-100 is not on sale yet, but interested parties should note that it’s only available for purchase on-site at San Diego Comic Con, offered up at Booth No. 834. The manufacturer doesn’t mention how many examples of the collectible will be offered up, though, and urges buyers to hurry up and add it to their collection before supply runs out. It’ll be on sale from July 23rd through 25th, 2025.

The green Ford F-100 is just one of several new additions to the GPK line of diecasts offered up by Greenlight in 1:64 scale. There’s also a 1983 GMC Vandura, a Dodge Power Wagon wrecker, a Buick Roadmaster convertible, a Jeep YJ, and a C8 Corvette up for grabs. At the time of this writing, the toymaker hasn’t revealed pricing for the collection.

For collectors who aren’t into the slightly off-putting GPK scene, the company released a 1:18 scale 1996 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer limited edition model as part of its Artisan Collection, and followed that up by launching diecast versions of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, as well as the retro-themed Ford Bronco Heritage and Ford Bronco Sport Heritage.
