Hit and run crashes are a common occurrence these days, and happen for several reasons. Sometimes, the person that caused an accident doesn’t have a license or insurance, and flees to try and avoid legal repercussions, or perhaps they even have illegal things in their possession or are intoxicated when that happens. Other times, offenders flee the scene of an accident for much more serious reasons, however – such as crashes that result in a fatality, which is precisely why police are on the lookout for a Ford F-150 driver right now.
According to WJTV News, police in Jackson, Mississippi are on the hunt for a white Ford F-150 that was involved in a hit and run crash recently that resulted in the death of a 22-year-old. The crash involved not only that F-150, but also, another pickup truck and a four-wheeler, though police didn’t reveal any additional details about what, exactly, happened. What we do know is that the young man who was killed was the passenger on the four-wheeler, and the driver was also critically injured.
One of the two pickup trucks involved in the incident remained on the scene and waited for police to arrive, but the driver of the white Ford F-150 opted to take off instead, likely fearing legal repercussions. The truck is believed to have suffered damage to its right side – specifically, near the cab and bed area – but otherwise, it doesn’t seem as if law enforcement has too many additional details, or at least, not ones that they can share.
Now, Jackson police are asking for help in locating this Ford F-150 and its driver, so they can service justice for the poor young man that perished in this accident. Anyone that has details regarding the incident are being asked to contact the Jackson Police Department (JPD) at 601-960-1234, or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477).
