2011 Mercury Grand Marquis With 21K Miles Up For Auction

The Mercury Grand Marquis, Ford Crown Victoria, and Lincoln Town Car have become quite popular in recent months, even though all of them were discontinued years ago. This makes sense given the fact that American automakers gave up on full-size, V8-powered, rear-wheel drive sedans quite some time ago, and there are obviously still folks that appreciate such a thing. Those looking for a new, lower-mile Mercury Grand Marquis - or one of its Panther platform mates - have plenty to choose from these days, and that now includes this 2011 model.

This 2011 Mercury Grand Marquis is up for auction over at Bring a Trailer with just 21k miles on the clock, and it's a well-equipped example in LS Ultimate Edition guise offered in the models' final year of production. It's finished in Light Ice Blue Metallic paint and a vinyl-covered roof, and looks to be in great shape. However, the Carfax report does note minor accidents in 2020, 2021, and 2022, and there are a few dings and touched-up scratches present, while the bumper covers were recently refinished as well.

Inside the cabin, one will find Medium Light Stone leather covered seats that are power-adjustable up front, along with amenities such as the factory CD stereo, power-adjustable pedals, automatic climate control, and power windows, locks, and mirrors.

Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L SOHC 16-valve V8, factory-rated to produce 224 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, which is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Other notable mechanicals include all-speed traction control, a rear air suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.

This is one of many nice, low-mile Mercury Grand Marquis models that we’ve seen surface at auction recently - a list that includes a 2008 LS with just 17k miles on the clock, as well as a 2010 LS that had a bit more showing at its time of sale - 51k, but still pretty low for a vehicle of that vintage.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. You couldn’t give me this thing. Mom had one, the whole family hated it. I took it upon myself to sell it for her, ans she bought a 2012 Taurus SEL that she still drives 13 years later.

  2. I love the ride of these cars and the space. I would certainly drive this!

  3. We had two Grand Marquis. The second one I added a carriage roof. Black over red. Looked like a mob wagon. Seats were cloth and it was like we were sitting on a couch in our living room. Remember that song ~crazy abt a Mercury~. Good memories. Then a semi ran a stop sign and all heck broke loose. Hubby got car in reverse but not quite in time to save the front end. Didn’t kill anyone but it was the end of an era for us.

  4. I never thought this incarnation of the Marquis was great, or even good-looking. The front end leaves a lot to be desired.
