Ford Mustang Mach-E Once Again Among CR’s Best EVs Of 2025

The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E was treated to some notable updates for its latest model year, though no mid-cycle refresh as of yet. Regardless, those updates were good enough to snag the EV crossover a spot on Consumer Reports‘ Best EVs of 2025 list, and also earn it the nod over the Chevy Blazer EV. As it turns out, not much has changed since the last time we saw the Ford Mustang Mach-E among CR‘s best EVs, as the crossover has once again placed on that very same list in its latest update.

In the latest Consumer Reports Best EVs of 2025 list, the organization revealed that the Ford Mustang Mach-E is still among its picks in the two-row EV crossover space. The Mach-E earned an overall score of 68 from the consumer organization – tying it with the Nissan Ariya and placing it behind the Tesla Model Y, which scored a 73 – while it also earned high scores in terms of road test results and predicted owner satisfaction.

On the positive side, CR says that the Ford Mustang Mach-E has “useful cargo room,” and the extended range battery delivered 299 miles of real-world range in its own testing. The rag called the Mach-E “quick and quiet, with taut and agile handling, all of which makes it fun to drive. It also praised BlueCruise, which is available in the EV crossover, as well as its ability to charge at a reasonably fast speed at home.

On the downside, CR notes that the massive infotainment screen present in the Mach-E has a “steep learning curve,” which can be frustrating since many of the controls are located within it, rather than physical switches and buttons. They also call the ride “jittery and unsettled” which makes it less of a joy when traveling on non-perfect road surfaces, a potential problem on longer trips as well.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
