Ford Sold Over 200K Vehicles In The UK For 2024

As a global automaker that’s been in business for well over a century to this point – in more than one market – Ford has enjoyed its fair share of success over the years, in both the U.S. and other countries around the world. That includes, of course, the United Kingdom, where Ford has long been one of the best-selling automotive brands, with several individual models topping their respective segments in that regard, too. Now, we know precisely how many vehicles Ford sold in the UK last year, too.

According to Felipe Munoz of JATO Dynamics, that number is 222,657 vehicles, which is actually 10 percent fewer than Ford sold in the UK in 2023, but still good enough to keep it locked in as the automaker’s third-best market. The U.S. still ranks first by a mile with 1,960,338 units sold in 2024 (a three percent year-over-year increase), while Canada ranks second with 260,504 sales (a 16 percent increase).

Last year, The Blue Oval had more than one model top the sales charts in specific segments. That includes the Ford Ranger, which was the UK’s top-selling pickup in 2024, as well as the third best-selling light commercial vehicle overall. The Ford Transit ranked just ahead of it as the second-best-selling light-commercial vehicle in the UK last year, as well as the second best-selling van, overall, too.

As has been the case for several years now, the Ford Transit Custom ranked first in the UK in terms of both van and light-commercial vehicle sales, to no one’s surprise. In terms of the regular retail side of the UK car market, Ford enjoyed some success there as well, with the Puma crossover closing out 2024 as that country’s best-selling passenger vehicle, too, all of which helped the automaker achieve some strong results across its entire UK lineup.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
