Ken Block’s 2016 Ford Focus RS RX: Live Photo Gallery

Several legendary machines built by rally’s Ken Block are holding court at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Ford Authority visited the display in July 2025, checking out several of those iconic builds in person – including one of the most readily recognizable race cars he ever drove, Block’s 2016 Ford Focus RS RX.

Dressed in an eye-catching “dazzle camo” wrap, Block’s 2016 Ford Focus RS was the star of the show in Gymkhana 9. It was also his ride during his 2016 and 2017 FIA World Rallycross Championship seasons. M-Sport collaborated with Hoonigan to design and build the speedy rally racer, while Ken Block himself was tapped to work alongside Ford designers to develop the RS variant of the Focus hatchback.

The 2016 Ford Focus RS RX harnesses a turbocharged 2.0L inline four-cylinder engine good for 600 horsepower, designed and built by M-Sport and Ford Performance. Power is relayed to all four wheels (AWD) its Sadev six-speed sequential transmisson, Sadev rear differential, and Sadev differential release unit. It also boasts a seam-welded and reinforced chassis, a homologated FIA-spec roll cage, underbody protection, and a custom body design. It rolls on a set of 17×8-inch wheels and FIA homologated rallycross tires, and a Reiger suspension.

Inside, the 2016 Ford Focus RS RX features Recaro seats and an M-Sport multifunction steering wheel. Cosworth engine management and data logging keep the powerhouse in check. The race car sold to a new owner late last year, and is currently on display at the Petersen Museum compliments of The Race Shop.

The 2016 Focus RS RX is currently part of “The People’s Champ” exhibit, which features several Blue Oval machines built and driven by Block himself. Other models from the exhibition include the 1977 Ford F-150 nicknamed the Hoonitruck; the Hoonicorn, which is a all-wheel-drive 1965 Ford Mustang; the 1994 Ford Escort RS Cosworth, nicknamed the Cossie V2, and the 1986 Ford RS200 – which Ford Authority also saw in person.
