Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2020-2021 Ford Super Duty pickups over an issue with steering column detachments.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the steering column upper shaft may detach from the steering column and result in a loss of steering control.
The hazards: a loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this issue.

Affected vehicles: select 2020-2021 Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450 pickups built between February 19th, 2019 and September 30th, 2020.
The fix: dealers will inspect the steering column, and repair or replace the upper shaft as necessary, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on October 6th, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated December 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25S94.
