Flagship Ford SUV Heading To New International Market: Exclusive

The 2025 Ford Expedition went on sale in the U.S. earlier this year after debuting last October, bringing with it a host of updates ranging from revamped exterior styling to new features and a very much overhauled interior. Since then, the redesigned full-size flagship SUV has been a smash hit, turning on dealer lots at a rapid rate and transacting at higher prices than its predecessor, on average. Thus, it should come as no surprise that the Ford Expedition will soon be heading to yet another international market.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the Ford Expedition is heading to the Philippines as an official export. The large SUV is already on sale in places like China and Mexico, but soon, it will add another international market to that list as its popularity continues to grow. In the Philippines, the Expedition will join a lineup that already contains a pretty broad array of SUVs, including the Ford Explorer, Ford Bronco, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Everest, and Territory.

It’s unclear what sorts of trims and configurations the Ford Expedition will be offered in when it goes on sale in the Philippines, but in the U.S., one can choose between regular and extended-length Max configurations, along with trim levels consisting of the Active, King Ranch, Platinum, and Tremor. The entire lineup offers up a new feature called Ford Split Gate, which functions much like a regular tailgate on a pickup. The top three-quarters of the liftgate raises upward, while the lower portion folds down, and can support up to 500 pounds.

Inside the cabin, the biggest change present in the 2025 Ford Expedition is the addition of a new 24-inch panoramic display that doubles as the instrument cluster and is paired with an 13.2-inch center screen running the fairly new Ford Digital Experience software. Power continues to come from the twin turbocharged 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine, which churns out 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque in standard guise, or 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet in the high-output version, which is standard in the Tremor and optional on Platinum models.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
