The Ford Maverick debuted for the 2022 model year, marking the triumphant return of a compact pickup to The Blue Oval’s lineup. Since then, the Maverick hasn’t lost a bit of steam, and continues to sell in large quantities, with little competition. It also just received its first mid-cycle refresh for the 2025 model year, but it seems as if some 2022 Ford Maverick models are being impacted by an issue with their halfshafts, as The Blue Oval just introduced a new Customer Satisfaction Program to address that particular problem.
This news comes to us from a 2022 Ford Maverick owner that’s also a member of the Maverick Truck Club forums, as they were notified by the automaker via the FordPass app recently that their front halfshafts will need to be replaced. Customer Satisfaction Program 25N09, as it’s officially known, was just unveiled yesterday, and covers 68,126 total 2022 Ford Maverick models produced between December 1st, 2021, thorugh November 23rd, 2022.
Owners of pickups impacted by this CSP are eligible for a one-time, no-cost repair for the vehicle’s front halfshafts. This is due to a problem where vibrations can occur in the front of the vehicle when it’s accelerating, an issue caused by premature wear on the internal roller track components of the front halfshafts. Dealers are being instructed to replace both front halfshaft assemblies if a customer’s vehicle exhibits vibrations that are isolated to one or both of those parts, free of charge.
As far as owner notifications go, those have already begun rolling out via FordPass, but the automaker will also begin mailing letters next week to inform them of the problem and remedy. Regardless, even if owners don’t get a letter or notification, dealers have been instructed to replace the halfshafts if they exhibit driveline vibrations stemming from that particular area, too. This program is good for 10 years of service or 150,000 miles from the warranty start date of each vehicle.

THIS IS OLD NEWS
Guess you missed that the CSP was just issued yesterday?
Is this ‘one time’ replacement in addition to the 5yr/60k drivetrain warranty? If I get them replaced under the dtrain warranty and then after 5/60k they go again is THAT the ‘one time’ replacement? I’d expect that they get replaced as many times as needed under the 5/60k and that this one time deal is in addition to that. True?
