2026 Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond Package Contents Become Optional

The Black Diamond badge has had quite a journey: once a full-on trim, now an optional package. The 2026 Ford Bronco Sport version of the bundle gets another shake-up for the latest model year, as some of its included features are now sold separately as standalone options, no longer included as part of the pack.

A report from Bronco Nation details the changes to the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond Package. Specifically, a handful of features previously included in the package are no longer part of the bundle, including the cargo mat, cargo management system, rubberized second-row seatbacks, fender tie-downs, interior grab handles, molded-in-color (MIC) bumper with a steel plate, and the two D-ring rear recovery hooks.

While those items have been removed from the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport Black Diamond Package, they will remain available as standalone options. However, It's not clear whether all can be selected independently, or if certain features will need the package as a prerequisite. Additionally, pricing for the package and the individual features has not been revealed at the time of this writing.

In addition to the aforementioned changes to the Black Diamond Package, the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport gains a brand-new option called the Bronze Package. This package, obviously, includes a number of bronze-themed accents for the rugged off-road crossover, like wheels, exterior accents, and Bronco script out frond and out back.

Aside from that, the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport soldiers on largely unchanged after receiving a modest refresh for the 2025 model year. That might be the biggest update the rugged crossover is going to get before the end of the decade, as recent reports indicate that it will be redesigned after 2030. It may be on track for another refresh as soon as 2028, however. That means the off-road crossover is not getting a "bold new face," contrary to what AI slop might have you believe.
