Hot off its refresh for the 2025 model year, the 2026 Ford Explorer soldiers on with a handful of updates and changes, including the addition of two new trim levels: Active Base and Tremor. Each trim – including the rest of the lineup – offers a number of optional packages that help dress the crossover up to its buyer’s preference, and below, we break down each package by trim, plus pricing and content.
As a reminder, the 2026 Ford Explorer trim level lineup includes Active Base, Active, ST-Line, Tremor, ST, and Platinum.
Active Comfort Package
The Active Comfort Package is tagged with option code 68A, and is available on the base Explorer Active trim, but not the Active Base. This optional bundle costs $3,145, and includes the following equipment:

Premium Package
Identifiable by order code 68L, the Premium Package is a $1,360 option on the Explorer ST-Line. Content of this package is as follows:
- 110V/150W AC Power Outlet (replaces the Powerpoint Port on the rear side of the Center Floor Console)

- Auto-dimming interior rearview mirror
- Power-folding sideview mirrors with with Autofold, power/heated Glass, LED turn indicators, security approach lamps

Lux Leather Package
The 2026 Ford Explorer Platinum can be outfitted with the Lux Leather Package, adding $1,695 to the overall cost of the crossover. This package requires that 4WD be equipped, and is not available in conjunction with the Second Row Bench 35/30/35 seats. Content bundled in this package is as follows:

Tremor Ultimate Package
In order to acquire the Tremor Ultimate Package, the 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor must be fitted with that optional 3.0L V6 engine. This package is standard on all models fitted with the V6 powerhouse. While there’s no separate pricing listed for the package itself, upgrading to the V6 costs $11,500 total, and that figure includes both the engine and the Tremor Ultimate Package.

The Tremor Convenience Package is exclusively offered on the 2026 Ford Explorer Tremor cradling the 2.3L I4 engine. Pricing is not available, but interested buyers should note that it’s a standalone package that is not included in the model’s staring price.

Offered on all 2026 Ford Explorer models, the Ford Connectivity Package entitles the crossover’s owner to a host of tech features. The one-time purchase ensures an active subscription for seven years, and includes the following:

- Unlimited Wi-Fi Hotspot
- Audio and Video Streaming
- Productivity (Video Conferencing, Web Browser)
- Voice Assistant
- Entertainment
BlueCruise (Equipment and One-Time Purchase)
Offered on the 2026 Ford Explorer ST-Line, Tremor, ST, and Platinum, the BlueCruise bundle includes all necessary hardware plus a one-time subscription purchase, which guarantees service for seven years. Priced at $2,000, this bundle grants the following:
- Automatic Lane Change
- Dynamically monitors highway traffic to make changing lanes simpler and hands-free, automatically switching lanes without needing to touch the turn signal
- In-Lane Repositioning
- Helps provide more space by subtly shifting away from vehicles in adjacent lanes
- Enhanced Hands-Free Driving Performance
- Includes improved ability to navigate narrow lanes and curves, plus better in-lane stability for a more continuous drive
Note that the Ultimate Package is no longer offered. This package was exclusively available on the Explorer Platinum, and included the twin-turbocharged 3.0L EcoBoost V6 engine, which isn’t available on the trim anymore. Other changes headed to the greater 2026 Ford Explorer line include the deletion of the Panoramic Vista Roof, replaced with a fixed glass option across the board.
