At long last, the 2026 Ford Mustang RTR Package has arrived, bringing a high-performance edge to the EcoBoost-powered pony car. Developed in collaboration with RTR, this special variant draws inspiration from the brand’s track-proven machines, adding upgrades that make it, quite literally, ready to rock.
The 2026 Ford Mustang RTR greets the world with an aggressive, snarling front end emphasized by its illuminated nostrils, a surefire way to spot RTR’s touch. That front fascia was lifted from the Mustang GT and features Tarnished Dark anodized running pony emblems and mirror caps. RTR fender badges, and an RTR deck lid. More Tarnished Dark accents interspersed throughout the exterior positively identify the Mustang RTR from any angle while giving it that aggressive, sporty touch.
Rear quarter graphics help the 2026 Ford Mustang RTR stand out even more – as though it needs that extra touch – while its decklid is topped with the spoiler lifted right from the GT Performance Pack. The wheels also sport a Tarnished Dark finish, measured at 19-by-9.5 inches with a 30mm offset. The 2026 Mustang RTR can be had in any stock Mustang color, as well as Avalanche Gray, which has been a part of The Blue Oval’s lineup for some time – just not on the pony car.
The 2026 Mustang RTR also offers the optional Hyper Lime Exterior Package, which bundles bright green accents like brake calipers and slashes of Hyper Lime in the exterior graphics.
Inside the cabin, the 2026 Ford Mustang RTR package features Hyper Lime accents. The dash, center console, and door pockets are shot through with bright green stitching, along with the drift brake lever (which can be foregone for no cost should buyers not want that option). Beyond that, the bundle adds illuminated RTR door sill plates, RTR-specific graphics to be shown on the display screens, and a serialized dash plaque.
Looks aside, the 2026 Ford Mustang RTR packs the turbocharged 2.3L I4 EcoBoost engine. Output remains the same as the stock Mustang EcoBoost, which means it delivers a healthy 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. The Track mode stability tune helps keep the pony car in check in high-demand driving, while Brembo brakes handle braking duties. It also boasts the Electronic Drift Brake feature, and RTR’s anti-lag system that sharpens throttle response.
The 2026 Ford Mustang RTR package is available exclusively for fastback models. It can be added to the Mustang EcoBoost equipped with the High Package or to the step-up EcoBoost Premium trim. Deliveries are expected to begin in the summer of 2026. At the time of this writing, pricing has not been revealed.
