Lincoln has worked to differentiate itself from the luxury vehicle competition in various ways over the past few years, much of which revolves around wellness technology – including the science-backed feature called Rejuvenate, which is focused on helping occupants relax in various ways by using sound, touch, sight, and sense. Lincoln also recently teamed up with Calm to created the new Elevated Journey app, intended to help calm drivers with relaxing guided audio content. Now, Lincoln is rolling out yet another new wellness theme for owners to take advantage of.
That theme is called Forest Meditation, which was also developed in conjunction with the folks at Calm. This new theme is designed to be an immersive and multi-sensory experience – one that brings the power of nature inside of a vehicle – transporting its occupants to another place with forest visuals, natural sounds, and the digital scent dubbed “Mystic Forest.” The concept here is to simulate a peaceful walk through the woods, without having to leave one’s own vehicle, and the theme includes a five or ten minute guided body scan meditation, too.
The new Lincoln Forest Meditation theme is now available via an over-the-air update for both the Lincoln Navigator (as standard) and Lincoln Nautilus (on select trims) from the Google Play Store. Lincoln owners can also enjoy a complimentary one-year subscription to Calm, which includes daily meditations, music, soundscapes, and mindfulness exercises. Forest Meditation is the fourth such theme those owners can take advantage of, joining Aurora Borealis, Elements, and Waterfall Meditation.
“With 70 percent of Americans experiencing daily stress, the need for meaningful moments of calm has never been greater. It reflects Lincoln’s commitment to credible, science-backed wellness experiences for our clients,” said Calandra Berry and Justine Nestorowich, Lincoln Vehicle Harmony Engineers. “We have learned more than half of Navigator and Nautilus owners with Lincoln Rejuvenate have already experienced its benefits. Over a third use it regularly to create moments of calm, focus, and restoration right from the driver’s seat.”
