Ram 1500 Lowered Debuts As All-New Ford F-150 Lobo Rival

Back in June, The Blue Oval unveiled the all-new Ford F-150 Lobo, which is an old fashioned street performance-focused pickup. Riding lower to the ground and wearing an array of stylish upgrades, the F-150 Lobo doesn’t get any extra power, however, though one can certainly slap a supercharger on its Coyote V8 and take care of that with no problem. Now, the latest sign that lowered performance-focused pickups are making a comeback has arrived with the debut of the new Ram 1500 Lowered.

The Ram 1500 Lowered is actually the product of a partnership between Mopar Direct Connection and Fox Factory Vehicles, capitalizing on Stellantis’ decision to bring back the Hemi V8 for that model’s 2026 lineup. On the outside, it gets upgrades in the form of a front chin spoiler, grille vents, a sport hood accent, rear tailgate spoiler, powder-coated tow hooks, a bedside graphics package, and a tailgate badge.

Rolling on a set of custom black 22-inch wheels wrapped with 305/40R high-performance tires, the Ram 1500 Lowered gets its name from – as one would guess – a Ridetech coilover suspension that effectively lowers the truck closer to the ground by a total of three inches up front and 5.5 inches in the rear, and aids in the handling department.

As for power, that comes from the formerly unavailable (in the Ram 1500, at least) 5.7L Hemi V8, which has been treated to a Whipple supercharger in this case. Coupled with a performance dual exhaust system, it helps the V8 churn out a cool 650 horsepower, flowing to the rear or all four wheels via the eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Inside the cabin, the Ram 1500 Lowered features custom black leather seats with gold stitching, all-weather floor mats, a serialized badge in the center console, and tinted windows. As far as pricing goes, that starts out at $89,995 including the donor truck, and it can be serviced at any old Mopar dealer – the street pounding Ram 1500 Lowered even comes with a three-year, 36k-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, too.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.

  1. I don’t see the point in these super powerful pickup trucks, but it’s good that Ram is launching products again, this makes competition exist and we have more options… because I don’t understand Ford launching its product but just more visual modifications than the engine!
