Ford Motor Company has filed to trademark “Ready Set Ford” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Ford Authority has learned.
Filed on October 20th, 2025, and assigned serial number 99452345, the application contains the goods and services description of “Motor vehicles, namely, automobiles, trucks, vans, sport utility vehicles and structural parts therefor,” “Tote bags,” and “Hoodies; T-shirts; Polo shirts; Sweat shirts; Shorts; Outer jackets; Pants; Socks; Gloves as clothing; Scarves; Sleepwear; Baseball caps and hats; Beanies.”
The Ford Authority Take
Back in September, The Blue Oval launched its latest marketing campaign, dubbed “Ready Set Ford.” This came shortly after the automaker filed to trademark that same term in the U.S., as well as in the UK, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Norway. Those trademark filings were more geared toward advertising efforts, but in this case, the latest piece of Ready Set Ford intellectual property pertains specifically to merchandise, which seems to signal that we’ll be able to buy a variety of goods bearing that slogan very soon.
Such a thing makes a lot of sense, given the fact that Ford has offered plenty of merchandise centered on previous marketing efforts in the past – including, perhaps most notably, “Build Ford Tough.” It’s unclear what sort of merchandise it might ultimately offer bearing this slogan, but the trademark filing covers a pretty wide berth of goods, which may feature the official logo for the campaign or even some vehicle images, to boot.
As has been the case with more than one marketing campaign, this new advert is voiced-over by actor Bryan Cranston, lending a familiar voice to a new campaign. “‘Ready Set Ford’ is more than a tagline. It’s a catalyst designed to help our customers reach their full potential and feel ready for anything,” said Lisa Materazzo, Ford Chief Marketing Officer. “It’s our public commitment to you that our capability, our passion, and our innovation will match your own. And it’s a signal of a new chapter for Ford, one filled with energy and excitement.”
