The Ford 5.2L engine family is a derivative of theĀ Ford Modular engine range produced by the Ford Motor Company. The 5.2L family is derived from the Ford 5.0L Coyote engine and includes several variations, each of them of the same displacement and utilizing a V-shaped configuration. Total number of cylinders is eight, with the most potent variant being the 5.2L Predator engine, which held the title of the most powerful production engine ever built by Ford. The Ford Legend engine, however, eclipses the Predator with more power. Unlike other Ford V8 engines, the Modular 5.2L engine family is entirely hand-built.
