The Changan Ford Chongqing transmission plant is transmission manufacturing facility for the Ford Motor Company which operates under the Changan Ford administration. Located in the city of Chongqing, in southwest China, the Chongqing transmission plant currently shares the assembly of the Ford 6F35 six-speed automatic transmission with the Ford Motor Company Van Dyke Transmission plant, in Michigan.
Established in 2014, the Chongqing transmission plant is also in charge of putting together the Ford 6F15 six-speed automatic transmission used in the Ford EcoSport, Ford Focus and Ford C-MAX. When it opened, it was Ford’s first transmission plant for the Asia-Pacific region.
With all its assembly plants combined, Changan Ford is the largest manufacturing center outside Detroit, with facilities located in Chongqing, Hangzhou and Harbin. This page shows information about the Changan Ford Chongqing transmission plant.
