Ford recently debuted its new Fusion NASCAR stock car at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The stock car represents the next chapter in Ford’s long line of NASCAR racecars and was recently highlighted by Ford Performance in a dark and ominous video for its YouTube channel.
The updated Fusion racecar must adhere to the current NASCAR rules package, so few changes were applied in moving from the outgoing model. The 2017 Fusion’s updated fascia has been applied, while NASCAR’s new digital dash is also present in the cabin. Ford says the aerodynamics of the car have also been improved, the result of its standout computational fluid dynamics technologies.
