As we reported just recently, there is a strong possibility that the (surely amazing) 3.5-liter, twin-turbo V6 powering the new Ford GT supercar will be offered as a crate engine, available to be dropped into any custom build project or racing machine.
So, we want to know: how would you put the Ford GT’s high-power 3.5L EcoBoost to good use? Official output levels for the engine are still unknown, but believed to be around 630 horsepower and 539 lb-ft – those numbers coming from video game Forza Motorsport 6, which featured the new Ford GT on the cover. Being a forced-induction engine, it might also provide plenty of avenues for software and bolt-on upgrades to up the power even further.
Would you drop the Ford GT’s potent EcoBoost mill into an older car from the Blue Oval – perhaps a Mustang or a vintage Falcon? Would you engage in automotive blasphemy by installing it in an import, or a GM vehicle? Or maybe you’d like to secure one for your track-day car: a 600+ horsepower V6 would certainly lend some get-up-and-go to the BAC Mono (if you can find the space to fit it).

I would place it in the new Superlite GT-R.
I would replace the Toyota 3.5L V6 in my Lotus Evora S with this Ford Racing 3.5L V6 from the GT. wow what a cool project!

I was working on 5.0l Windsor swap for my 1988 turbo coupe, but if this engine becomes available, I would
like to put this in my fox body. I just hope someone out there comes up with mounts so that I don't have to
fabricate them. (hint to fomoco).
I would install the 5.2 570 hp crate motor in a Fran Hall Superlite Ford GT-R with your new GT transaxle if it was available. It's based on the Robinson Racing Ford GT. So it is a great design with stunning looks. ((((My dream car))))!
I would use the V6 twin turbo in a car that has no heritage or soul to want to use a motor that has no soul. Sound is a huge part of what drives people to a sports car. Now show me a 5.2 crate with a twin turbo and you have something special!
Your GT is special because of everything but the motor.
Your fan base of a V6 will be with guys that are rice burners that have limited room to shoe horn a V8 into a car.
I own a 2011 Ford Taurus SE with the V6. That would be a car that I would consider a engine swap. It has no soul also. I do like driving it though.
I would fit it in the Ford focus RS or alternatively a 2dr Ford Sierra 4wd Cosworth!!

I think I'd drop it in an ugly, faded, 1996 Ranger with a dried out scratched up aluminum "camper" shell on the bed - and do my best to hide the slightly different drivetrain, brakes and wheels that would be required to properly accomodate such a powerplant transition as this... lol
