If you’re fixing to get into the rally racing scene, B-spec is a good way to go – if you have the cash to fit that old, disused production car of yours with seats, a cage, harnesses, and the like.
Or, you could skip all that nonsense by buying this read-to-go, 2011 Ford Fiesta B-spec rally car on eBay. The folks over at Jalopnik managed to spot the listing earlier today, and ever since, we’ve been considering how we could maybe move some money around to snatch it up ourselves.
What’s most appealing about B-spec is that it’s for mostly-stock cars. So, for instance, this 2011 Ford Fiesta is still powered by the same normally-aspirated, 1.6-liter four-banger as it shipped with, paired to the same old factory 5-speed. However, it does have some upgrades, a good chunk of which came from M-Sport: a full exhaust from the headers back; an R2 Fiesta roll cage; a 6mm skid plate; and a set of heavy-duty Bilstein struts. The body has also been seam-welded for greater rigidity, and a brake-bias adjuster lets you dial in the front-to-rear braking power.
As of this writing, the bid stands at $8,100, with more than 5 days left to go. We’ll be watching this B-spec Ford Fiesta eBay listing closely.
