Ford has just distributed its 2018 model-year order guide companion to dealers, revealing – among other things – what can be expected from the 2018 Ford Mustang in terms of new colors, packages, and standalone options. A Mustang6G forum member by the name of “disneyfun1” managed to get their hands on a copy, scanning each and every page pertaining to the newly-revised, 2018 Ford Mustang, and sharing them online.
There’s no mention on any of those pages of the MagneRide magnetorheological dampers that Ford says will be available on Performance Pack-equipped Mustang models; as the folks at Mustang6G note, this may mean that the magneto shocks will be offered as a standalone option if the Performance Pack is selected. The Performance Pack itself is a brand-new option for the base EcoBoost model, as previously, only the V8-powered GT offered such a track-oriented option pack.
The order guide companion details plenty else that’s new for 2018, like a revised Mustang EcoBoost Premium Package and a brand-new Carbon Sport Interior Package. The former includes a unique front grille, 19″ x 8.5″ polished alloy wheels, tri-bar pony badge, side stripes, and carpeted floor mats with embroidered pony logos. Premium EcoBoost fastbacks will also receive chrome-finish window surrounds. The latter package, available on both the EcoBoost and GT Mustang models, sees the interior fitted with a carbon-fiber shift knob and instrument panel, along with Alcantara door skin inserts and ebony leather-trimmed bucket seats with Alcantara inserts.
