Ford Motor Company has filed an application to register Nautilus as a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Ford Authority has discovered.
Filed on September 21st, 2017, the application is assigned serial number 87617700 and specifies that the mark will be used in conjunction with "Land motor vehicles, namely, passenger automobiles; automobile badges."
This one is rather interesting, since Nautilus sounds like an intriguing name for a Ford or Lincoln vehicle, whether in production or concept form.
To note, Nautilus is a marine animal; specifically, a pelagic marine mollusc of the cephalopod family Nautilidae.
