The Mustang’s January sales performance enabled it to remain the best-selling vehicle in its segment. By comparison, Chevy Camaro sales decreased 20 percent to 2,687 units while Dodge Challenger sales managed a slight 0.35 percent increase to 3,405 units.

That’s because it’s so bloody expensive. A fully loaded GT costs over $50k.
The car is the best-selling in its segment, so clearly most people don't subscribe to the notion that it's "so bloody expensive". Then again, a well-equipped Mustang GT is significantly more affordable... and you get what you pay for.
