Ford sells a lot of F-Series trucks; the F-150 has been the best selling vehicle in the U.S. for many years running. Ford and other truck makers often fight for bragging rights in the full-size pickup segment. Ford has laid claim to some important bragging rights with the 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks.
Ford says that the 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty owns six key best-in-class heavy-duty pickup claims for full-size trucks that are over 8,500 pounds. The claims that Ford is talking about include:
Ford offers a tidbit to put the figures in perspective a bit. A properly configured Ford F-450 could tow as much weight as 31 American quarter horses at 1,200 pounds each. Ford says the 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty Tremor package can tow 15,000 pounds for traditional trailers. It also has the most off-road capability of any Super Duty truck Ford has ever made and can haul 21,900 pounds for gooseneck trailers when fitted with the available diesel. Tremor can also haul 4,210 pounds of maximum payload with the all-new 7.3-liter gas engine.
The 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty also has a class first Pro Trailer Backup Assist feature to make backing up easier for those who don’t do it frequently. The trucks will also come with a FordPass Connect embedded 4G LTE modem with WiFi access for up to ten devices.
