The Blue Ovals’ heavy trucks, the 2021 Ford F-650 and F-750, added just one new exterior to the color palette. Here’s our first look at the new color option, called Magnetic Gray.
The new Magnetic Gray color replaces the Carbonized Gray color option, which was available for the prior model year. The new hue is one of three gray-silver colors available for 2021 Ford Medium Duty trucks, with the other two being Ingot Silver and Stone Gray.
The new Magnetic Gray color is a no-cost option for the 2021 Ford F-650 and F-750, both for tractor and straight-frame configurations.
Here are the remaining ten color options.
For those who prefer to identify their colors by PPG code, here’s a list of each one:
As first reported by Ford Authority, Ford skipped the 2020 model year for the F-650 and F-750, going from 2019 to the 2021 model years at the Ford Ohio Assembly plant in an effort to boost residual values. The strategy applies to the two Medium Duty Ford trucks, as well as to the Ford E-Series, which is also built at the same facility.
As such, models in the Magnetic Gray exterior color arrived at dealers in the beginning of 2020. However, availability varies by dealer, so be sure to check with yours for complete details.

A pretty unsurprising statistic.
The new model year brings forth a few tweaks for the pony car.
F-Series production is expected to be impacted.
The duo plan to visit over 30 countries.
Emails have reportedly even been sent to those that are in compliance.
The de-contented model costs $5,000 less than the Premium version.

Interesting that they are adding magnetic since they are eliminating that option for the 2021 F250-450s in favor of a non-metallic version. And F-150s are doing the same for 2021 if the configurator is to be believed. I ordered a 2020 F250 in magnetic, was glad I got it in before the 2021 model year. The new greys are fine but hard to beat freshly waxed metallic paint.
