Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2017-2020 Lincoln Continental models over a rearview camera issue. This issue is also affecting select 2017-2020 Ford Super Duty pickups.
The defect: in affected vehicles, degradation of the anti-reflective coating on the internal rearview camera lens can lead to a progressively foggy or cloud rear view camera image.
The hazards: lack of rearview camera image visibility can reduce the driver’s view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.
Components: rearview camera coating.
Affected vehicles: select 2017-2020 Lincoln Continental sedans built at at the Flat Rock Assembly plant between November 30th, 2015 and March 10th, 2020.
Number of vehicles affected: 13,119
The fix: dealers will replace the rearview camera, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will be begin on August 29th, 2022. The Ford reference number for this recall is 22S51.

Still waiting for recall notice on 2020 Lincoln Continental camera issue. Posted In Sept of 2022 and is n ow almost March of 2023. How long is this going to take?
I have the same issue. My dealer says parts still not available. It’s been over a year!
This is so ridiculous, if I had know it would take over a year to fix the backup camera problem, I would have bought a different car!
