The Ford Crown Victoria has long been a favorite among enthusiasts and folks that just appreciate a big, comfy sedan, but in recent months, the now-defunct model has become increasingly popular among collectors, too. As such, we’ve seen a number of nice Crown Vics pop up for auction, including a 13k-mile 1998 model and a rather rare 10k-mile 2005 LX Sport. Now, we can add this very clean 1996 Ford Crown Victoria that’s up for grabs at Cars & Bids to that growing list, too.
With a very reasonable 58k miles on the clock, this 1996 Ford Crown Victoria remains in pretty excellent condition, save for a few flaws including the typical paint chips and scratches, imperfections on the chrome bumper trim, a dent on the rear passenger side door, some curb rash on the wheels, and creases in the upholstery, while the rear power windows aren’t currently working, either. Otherwise, it’s in pretty pristine condition for a vehicle of this vintage.
This 1996 Crown Vic is also well-equipped with amenities including power-adjustable front seats, power side mirrors, anti-lock brakes, a keyless entry keypad, leather upholstery, a multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control, and remote keyless entry. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which was originally rated to produce 200 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
A one-owner car until this year with no accidents or mileage discrepancies to report, this 1996 Ford Crown Victoria is a nice example of its breed, if not the most perfect or collectible one out there. However, that’s just an added bonus in our book, because we’d be eager to take this big sedan out for a cruise every chance we get.

That looks great. My '04 GRAND MARQUIS had much rust when I traded it in at 205k back November of '21 but that engine was still smooth as ever and it still rode like a million dollars. Ben Matlock comes to mind now. :)
