The Ford Super Duty-based Ford Excursion is a vehicle that was quite popular when it was sold new, and at the time (not to mention today) was a bit of a unicorn as a massive SUV equally capable of hauling large families and large loads at the same time. The Excursion’s size and inefficiency are ultimately what sealed its fate, unfortunately, but today, used examples are incredibly popular, with many selling for huge money at collector car auctions. That includes this 16k-mile 2003 Excursion Limited, a modified 37k-mile 2002 model, and another modified example, this time, a 2005 with just 12k miles. However, this 2000 Ford Excursion currently up for grabs at Bring a Trailer might just be the lowest-mile example we’ve come across to date.
This 2000 Ford Excursion has just 852 miles showing on the odometer, which somewhat baffles conventional though, given the fact that it’s a utilitarian vehicle – not some rare collectible or even a sports car or exotic. Regardless, the big SUV has racked up around 40 of those miles since it was last sold on BaT back in 2021, meaning that it has at least been driven a tiny bit recently.
As one might imagine, that negligible bit of use has left this Ford Excursion looking largely like new, from its Oxford White paint with gray lower body cladding to its Medium Graphite cloth interior. There are a few modifications present, however, a list that includes a K&N air intake, an Aries bull bar, a chrome grille, and aftermarket headlights.
As an XLT model, this Excursion is relatively barebones in terms of amenities and luxuries, but it is equipped with the naturally-aspirated Ford 6.8L V10 Triton engine, which is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a limited-slip differential with 4.30 gears. It goes without saying that we may never see another Excursion with this kind of low mileage total – though to some, that may not necessarily be a great thing, given the potential unknowns that lurk underneath.

Where are these auctions being held at?.
The last time it sold 2 yrs ago it went for over $61k. Can't believe a Triton motor unit would go for that much. Would a 7.3 go for $100k? Crazy money
