Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023-2024 Ford F-650 and F-750 models over an issue with the parking brake.
The defect: in affected vehicles, the parking brake may malfunction and allow the lever to be released without pressing the release button.
The hazards: a parking brake that is released unexpectedly may result in a vehicle roll away, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Ford Motor Company is not aware of any crashes or injuries related to this condition.

Affected vehicles: select 2023-2024 Ford F-650 and F-750 models built between July 13th, 2022, and December 8th, 2023.
Number of vehicles affected: 18,244
The fix: a remedy is currently in development.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which are expected to begin on April 8th, 2024. The Ford reference number for this recall is 24S09.
