Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2022-2024 Ford Maverick pickups over an issue with the turn signals, all of which were previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 23V-848.
The defect: in affected vehicles, in the event that one of the rear turn signals stops working, the vehicle will not adjust the turn signal flash rate frequency to warn the driver that a turn signal has failed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
The hazards: a nonfunctioning exterior turn signal will not notify other drivers that the vehicle is turning, increasing the risk of a crash.
Ford Motor Company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition.
Components: body control module software
Affected vehicles: select 2022-2024 Ford Maverick models produced at the Hermosillo Assembly Plant from July 27th, 2021, to November 16th, 2023.
Number of vehicles affected: 1,635
The fix: dealers will update the body control module software, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on March 31st, 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25C04.

Great. Ford drivers must resort to using hand signals. That’s a great look. Another quality “win.”
Ford’s quality must be as high as your comment. Very useful without a doubt. I recommend you to lead since you have exceptional knowledge. Thanks! 🙂 – Joe Biden
The Ford recall express is in first place so far in 2025, there will be many more recalls in 2025 as long as Failure Farley is in charge.
