Ford Motor Company issued a recall for select units of the 2021 through 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E that were previously repaired incorrectly under a separate recall due to an issue with the electric crossovers’ high voltage battery contactor.
The defect: the high voltage battery contactor may overheat if the affected vehicle did not have the correct software update remedy installed, as outlined in the original recall. Using DC fast charging and wide-open pedal events may cause the high voltage battery contactors to overheat, which may lead to arcing and deformation of the electrical contact surfaces.
The hazards: an overheated high voltage battery contactor may cause the Mustang Mach-E to lose drive power, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Affected vehicles: select Ford Mustang Mach-E units produced between May 27th, 2020 and May 24th, 2022.
Number of affected vehicles: 234
The fix: dealers will update the onboard software free of charge to Ford Mustang Mach-E owners.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on April 14th, 2025. The Ford reference number for this recall is 25S14.

This must be why Ford can't update my BlueCruise for the last 3 years. They are too busy recalling so many vehicles for defects.

Sure is nifty. That thing is sure to usher-in a new era of, um….ah.
You know, a place for amazing ideas and stuff to happen where everything, you know gets better, and stuff.
So apparently, no one should be a second hand of this vehicle, the batteries should be dropped and repaired or replaced, all a software patch is going to do is slow the flow of power down which will overall effect the vehicle, so people who want to fly around the track in their battery powered cars wonts be able to use this mach e because the battery is slowly disconnecting itself whenever you wanna go fast.
Hello folks I love my first and now my second Mustang Mach-E's. I had no problems. I don't drive mu car to kill it. It is a very nice car. Like a gas power ride you have to get it serviced I do mine when i rotate tires.
