Every driver has encountered a red light runner at some point, and it’s hard not to lose your temper with them. A recent dashcam video shows a Ford F-150 driver choosing to make a red light in an intersection optional – and the cammer absolutely lets loose on them.
Posted to r/IdiotsInCars on Reddit, the video captures the original poster absolutely dressing down the Ford F-150 that blew through a red light right in front of them. The white F-150 is in the middle of the intersection just as the cammer starts to leave the light – which is green, by the way – and thankfully, they have plenty of time to react.
The cammer makes their displeasure known by laying on the horn as the Ford F-150 crosses in front of them, a little too close for comfort. A colorful string of words escapes the cammer, and with good reason. They might have hit if the cam vehicle hadn’t been paying enough attention. And strangely enough, another Ford pickup idles up to the light as this is all going on.
At first, it doesn’t look like they’ll stay put, but they restore the cammer’s faith in Blue Oval drivers by actually stopping where they’re supposed to. Moral of the story: even if your light is green, don’t assume everyone else is going to heed their red lights.
Unfortunately, red light runners are surprisingly common. A Ford Ranger plowed through a red light, but they weren’t as lucky as the driver of the Ford F-150 and got themselves T-boned by the cam car. The driver of a Ford Expedition did something similar, turning left across traffic right in front of the cammer and almost causing a collision themselves. Meanwhile, the driver of a Ford Fusion chose to blow through a red light in the midst of a police chase, but it didn’t exactly go well for them as they were T-boned in the intersection and wrecked into an innocent bystander.

Rules? Do we need to follow them? With such sterling examples in public encouraging the same behavior, is it any wonder?
