Lia Block To Drive Ford Fiesta Rally3 In 2025 Rally Debut

Lia Block has rally racing in her blood. She learned how to wheel a rally car alongside her father, Ken Block, and carries on his legacy by taking part in rally events here and there. Like her dad, she’s driven a few Ford vehicles in her day, and she’s reprising her role behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta Rally3 in her first rally outing of the 2025 season.

As per a report from Dirtfish, Lia Block will race the Ford Fiesta Rally3 in the Boone Forest Rally in Kentucky on August 8th through 9th, 2025. The race marks a one-off return to rally after an 18-month stint racing in an all-women series, driving a modified Formula 4 race car in support of Formula 1 events. She’s currently 10th in the standings, racing an ART Grand Prix machine.

Block is the youngest driver to boast an ARA National championship, winning the O2WD title at just 16 years old. In 2023, she competed in the Lake Superior Performance Rally, where she drove a Subaru WRX. She ran as high as third before running off the road early on the rally’s second day.

“It’ll be great to see Lia back on the loose again,” said Derek Dauncey, who oversees Block’s development under Williams Racing. “I think everybody knows she – and the whole family – has a great history in rallying and I’m sure she’ll enjoy herself.”

He added, “There’s no doubt that Lia’s focus remains very firmly fixed on open wheels. We’ve got to thank Williams [Racing] for the forward-thinking approach to this event – taking experience from any kind of competition is going to help develop you as a driver. It’s not rocket science to know there’s little comparison between a forest road in Kentucky and Tarzan corner at Zandvoort – but such are the minuscule margins in the F1 Academy, everything can help.”

Fans of Ken Block will be sure to cheer on Lia Block in her 2025 rally debut, and in the meantime, they can check out some of Ken’s iconic vehicles, which are on display at the Petersen Museum.
