Though the Ford Ranger exists as a mid-size pickup in today’s new vehicle market, that wasn’t always the case – rather, that same model was a compact hauler for much of its life. The smaller Ranger has been out of production for quite a few years now, meaning that nice, older examples are beginning to catch on with collectors. We’ve certainly seen a lot of last-gen examples surface for sale at auction lately, and that list now includes this very nice, low-mile, 2010 Ford Ranger XLT.
This 2010 Ford Ranger is set to be auctioned off at Mecum’s Harrisburg, Pennsylvania sale later this month, and it has just 17k miles showing on the odometer. The extended cab pickup has lived its entire life with the original owner thus far, and it remains in rather nice condition as a result. From what we can see in the photos provided, the black paint doesn’t show any obvious flaws, as the more modern hauler looks to be in pretty stellar condition for its age.
The same is true of the interior, where one will find clean, undamaged gray cloth upholstery. Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.0L V6, mated to an automatic transmission, which sends power to either the rear or all four wheels in this case.
The rather nice 2010 Ford Ranger comes with the original owner’s manual and related documentation, two keys, and it has a clean CarFax with no accident history, to boot.
Of course, this is just one of many nice last-generation Rangers pickups that we’ve seen cross the auction block as of late, as more and more people gravitate toward the modern classic. That list also includes a pair of 2009 models – one, a base XL work truck with just 22k miles on the clock, as well as another that was showing 44k miles when it popped up for sale.
