2023 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Premium With 30 Miles Up For Auction

The Ford Mustang Mach 1 made a big comeback during the S550 generation for the 2021 model year, and it did so while paying proper homage to its predecessors as a more track-focused machine with a naturally-aspirated V8 and lots of suspension and aero upgrades. The S550-generation Ford Mustang Mach 1 didn’t hang around for long, however, and wasn’t built in any sort of massive quantities, all of which seem poised to make it a future collectible. Now, this very low-mile example is set to test that particular market.

This 2023 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is up for auction at Bring a Trailer with a mere 28 miles on the clock, and it’s a very well-optioned model with the Mach 1 Premium Appearance and Premium Elite packages, to boot. It’s finished in Fighter Jet Gray paint with Black and Orange stripes on the hood and sides, along with clear protection film covering the front bumper cover, hood, fenders, A-pillars, windshield, and headlights.

This Mach 1’s Magnetic-painted 19-inch Y-spoke aluminum wheels are wrapped with 255/40 front and 275/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires covering six-piston Brembo brake calipers up front. It’s also equipped with Magneride dampers, electronic line lock, and an independent rear suspension. Inside, one will find a perfect cabin with heated and ventilated front seats upholstered in Ebony leather with orange stripes, aluminum trim, the Bang & Olufsen audio system, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Power comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote engine, which in this guise was factory-rated to produce 470 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. It’s mated to the 10-speed automatic transmission, making for a package that had a sticker price of $64,480 when it was sold new just a couple of years ago.

Now, the big question is, will this basically brand new Ford Mustang Mach 1 wind up hammering for more than that sum at auction? As of this writing, it’s already up past the $46k mark with three days left to go, so it’ll be interesting to see what someone is willing to pay for it.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
