It’s no secret that the prices of new trucks have risen dramatically in recent years, buoyed by the rise in demand for more luxurious, tech-laden models. However, many truck shoppers are growing a bit weary of these high price tags, and quite a few folks are simply seeking a more simple and affordable alternative – a fact that even Ford CEO Jim Farley recently admitted. Now, Stellantis is set to offer shoppers in the heavy-duty truck space precisely that with a pair of new entry-level 2026 Ram 2500 models to combat the segment-leading Ford Super Duty.
The 2026 Ram 2500 lineup is gaining two new trim levels – the Black Express and Warlock – which are designed to offer customers more of a value proposition without having to sacrifice in terms of appearances. One year after the debut of the new Ram HD lineup, these additions are yet another of 25 planned announcements in 18 months coming from the brand, which includes a new, best-in-class 10-year, 100k-mile powertrain warranty for full-size Ram vans and pickups.
The first of this entry-level duo is the 2026 Ram 2500 Black Express, which can be had in Crew Cab form with two- or four-wheel drive and a short or long bed. It gets a sport performance hood, body-color bumpers and grille-surround, power convex trailer tow mirrors, 20-inch black wheels, front and rear ParkSense, black tube cab-length side steps, and a few available exterior colors – Diamond Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Silver Zynith, Forged Blue, Flame Red, Ceramic Gray, and Molten Red. Inside, one gets carpeted seating and floors/floor mats, all for a starting price of $53,735, including destination.
As for the 2026 Ram 2500 Warlock, it’s available exclusively in Crew Cab, four-wheel drive, short bed guise, and gets a black grille surround, flares, and bumpers, plus a Warlock bedside decal, 20-inch diamond cut wheels with 34-inch Goodyear Duratrac all-terrain tires, power convex trailer tow mirrors, and exterior color choices consisting of Diamond Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Silver Zynith, Forged Blue, Flame Red, Ceramic Gray, and Molten Red.
Inside, one will find cloth seats and carpet along with all-weather floor mats, and mechanical upgrades consist of an anti-spin rear differential, Bilstein shocks, a transfer case skid plate, and Hill Descent Control, plus a choice between the 6.4L Hemi or 6.7L Cummins H.O. diesel – all for a starting price of $57,165 including destination. Order banks for both the 2026 Ram 2500 Black Express and Warlock are open now, with deliveries expected to begin in Q3 2025.
