AC Cars is a UK-based manufacturer that has one foot in the future and one in the past, reviving the likes of the Shelby Cobra for the modern audience. Last year, the automaker pulled the sheets off the AC GT Roadster, unveiling the matching Coupe model just last August. Both the AC GT Roadster and Coupe are now sold in the U.S., each harnessing the Ford Coyote V8 engine. They’re now joined by yet another retro-modern ride with a 5.0L heartbeat: the AC GT Supersport.
The AC GT Supersport – which is based on the aforementioned GT Roadster and Coupe models – brings retro design and modern tech together. It features a specially tuned V8 powertrain that delivers peak performance, paired with exterior aerodynamic elements that help it slice through the air. It also features a widened track, prominent rear wing, and redesigned front grille. That sets it apart from its brethren while also ensuring it can stay planted and nimble under high-performance conditions.
Under the hood, that Ford Coyote V8 powerhouse is tuned to produce up to 1,025 brake horsepower, making the AC GT Supersport one aggressive roadster. Deliveries are set to kick off in 2027, and AC Cars says that it will work hand-in-hand with buyers to make sure each example of the GT Supersport is up to their standards.
David Conza, CEO of AC Cars, stated, “It is fitting that we launch our most formidable model with AC Cars America, and the AC GT SuperSport will cement itself as true icon of automotive engineering. Despite the comprehensive overhaul in design, there’s no doubting the car’s linage and we’re ready to release the car’s true potential.”
Pricing starts at $55,000, but the roadster won’t be a common sight. In fact, just 25 examples will be built in total, and consultations and reservations will first be extended to existing clients with orders already placed before being made available to new clients.
“The AC GT SuperSport US limited build will include unique commemorative features for this once in a lifetime offering,” said Jeremy Stein, CEO of AC Cars America. “There are three additional bold livery options that typify the traditions of America. It is truly a masterpiece of design and power that needs to be in one’s collection.”

$55k can’t be right. For 1,000+ HP?
The ‘rice rocket’ wing has to go.
I agree
I bet $555,000 is closer to the correct price.
