Ford F-150 At Center Of Dispute Involving ‘Targeted’ Violations: Video

These days, more and more companies and automakers are offering mobile service, which is incredibly convenient for owners, who can have their maintenance/repair needs taken care of at home or the office. This is true of Ford, which has been offering mobile service for some time now, and that offering only continues to grow in popularity. However, one mobile mechanic that uses a Ford F-150 for his endeavors recently found himself in a bit of legal hot water.

According to Fox 23 News, the Ford F-150 owner – Matthew Parker, owner of Parker’s Mobile Mechanics – was recently accused of committing code violations by the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the presumption that his pickup is a commercial vehicle and that he’s operating an illegal business out of his home. The city points to the fact that Parker has had “cars on jackstands, a large commercial truck…work happening on other people’s vehicles in the driveway, and storing of inoperable vehicles waiting to be repaired in the driveway.”

Additionally, the city issued another code violation to Parker over his Ford F-150, which is wrapped with his business name. This was due to the fact that commercial vehicles can’t be parked outside in a neighborhood, according to city rules. However, Parker operates a YouTube channel and documents his repairs – which are completed at no cost to the owners, and in some cases, he even fixes up vehicles and donates them to those in need. “We don’t operate an illegal business within our house. We don’t do that at all,” he said. “We’re mobile mechanics so we go to places…and we don’t do that here.”

Ultimately, after receiving the code violation notifications, Parker wound up addressing the concerns prior to the city’s deadline to do so, and it seems as if that resolved the issue – at least, for now. The City of Tulsa ultimately closed its case against Parker and didn’t cite him, seemingly bringing this case to a positive resolution, at least.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
