The Goodwood Festival of Speed is easily one of the more entertaining automotive-centered events that takes place each and every year, with the star of that proverbial show being its famous Hillclimb Shootout. There, we get to see all sorts of exotic, special, and one-off prototype machinery conquer the Goodwood Hill in a more informal yet still competitive manner, in fact. Each year, The Blue Oval tends to bring out some cool vehicles for the Goodwood Hillclimb Shootout, and this coming weekend, that will include the Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck – among others.
The Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck will head to Goodwood following its successful stint at the 2024 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where the EV demonstrator claimed a new qualifying record for the open class, as well as an overall victory.
The Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck managed to pull off that monumental feat thanks to its extreme bodywork, designed to generate 6,000 pounds of downforce at 150 miles-per-hour, as well as a pretty trick powertrain consisting of three STARD UHP 6-Phase Motors and Ultra-High Performance Li-Polymer NMC cells, which generate a combined 1,600 horsepower, fed by a rather small 50 kWh battery pack.
The F-150 Lightning SuperTruck won’t be the only Blue Oval model present at this year’s Goodwood Hillclimb Shootout, however. It will also be joined by the Ford Mustang GTD, as Ford Authority previously reported, shortly after that ultimate pony car managed to lap the legendary Nurburgring in less than seven minutes – one of very few cars to ever exist that has accomplished the notable feat. Both of those models will be joined by the Ford Raptor T1+ racer, which will tackle the Hill and a special off-road area, as well as five generations of SuperVan, too.
Ford's best-selling utility moved nearly 58K units.
Long-term financing offered on The Blue Oval's best-selling van.
A way to deal with worn out physical controls.
It's in great condition, too.
The automaker showed off six different potential body styles.
It's a cheap and quick repair, thankfully.
