The Ford F-150 Raptor is touted as the ultimate machine for any off-road situation. Apparently, that includes extreme mud and water, tempting the driver of one F-150 Raptor to try their hand at a game of keep-away in a muddy pit, going full send in their muscular pickup to keep it from sinking into the danger zone.

The video, taken somewhere in China, shows the driver of the Ford F-150 Raptor gunning it into a muddy pit on purpose. The goal, now, is to fight slippery conditions and gravity. At the bottom of said pit is a pool of water. It’s not clear how deep the water is, but it’s probably best that the pickup stay well clear of it, lest it sink or sustain mechanical damage from water getting where it’s not supposed to.

The driver makes several harrowing laps around the deep pool. The pickup’s rear end appears to succumb to gravity, drifting dangerously close to the water, but the driver gathers it back up just in time and gets the Ford F-150 Raptor out of harm’s way. With centrifugal forces now on their side, the F-150 Raptor driver continues to send the pickup at full speed around the makeshift track, its tires digging into the soft mud.

Now, the challenge is getting the pickup out of the pit without giving in, but the driver doesn’t seem interested in leaving and continues to play, drifting wide around the crater seemingly on purpose. They throw it closer and closer to the rim, building up momentum as they climb out, finally guiding the F-150 Raptor to safety after sufficiently showing off.

It’s probably safe to assume that the driver of this Ford F-150 Raptor in China isn’t the same as as another that starred in a viral video last year. That driver was clearly attempting to pull an SUV out of danger, but ended up dumping it straight into a ditch.
