Ford Ranger And Everest Buoy Blue Oval Australia In June 2025

The latest-generation Ford Ranger and Everest have been hot commodities in Australia since the day both launched in that particular country years ago, and demand hasn’t exactly tapered off since, either. Rather, both the mid-size pickup and SUV continue to prove popular with shoppers Down Under, holding down the top two spots atop The Blue Oval’s sales charts there, too. Meanwhile, Ford continues to launch new variants of each, which has resulted in some impressive sales as of late, too.

According to CarExpert, Ford Australia just posted its best monthly sales result in 16 years in June – 10,103 units – which ranked it second among all brands in that country, behind only Toyota. The last time Ford Australia sniffed that mark was June 2009, when it sold 10,194 vehicles, a time when the Falcon was its best-selling model. Now, that title belongs to the Ford Ranger, which racked up 6,293 sales last month, 98 more than its arch rival, the Toyota Hilux.

Year-to-date, the Ford Ranger holds a 2,044 unit lead on the Hilux, holding onto its lead as Australia’s best-selling vehicle of any kind – a title that it claimed in both 2023 and 2024, too. In June, it was followed by the Everest, which led the SUV space with 2,705 sales, beating the Land Cruiser Prado and its 2,177 registrations. However, the Everest does trail the Toyota over the first six months of the year, with 15,583 deliveries versus 12,294.

On top of that success, the Transit enjoyed its best sales month since May 2011 in Australia with 247 deliveries, which is more good news for The Blue Oval. It does have a bit of catching up to do in terms of overall sales, however, as Ford ranks third among all brands in that country through the first half of the year with 47,300 sales. Not only is it chasing Toyota, but also, Mazda, which barely edged it out with 48,942 sales in H1.
