Over the years, we’ve come across our fair share of cool, interesting, and unique Blue Oval vehicles, memorabilia, and parts up for grabs at collector auctions, some more quirky than others. But the various auction sites around the web never fail to deliver even more of those types of unique offerings, and now, we have yet another cool specimen worth checking out, as well as potentially bidding on – this very interesting Ford roadster hot rod style go-kart, which seems like a cool display piece or kid’s toy for Blue Oval fans, in general.
This Ford roadster go-kart is up for grabs over at Bring a Trailer with 1934-style bodywork, which is made of fiberglass. To that base, the builder added a red paint job with orange flames, along with a silver-painted (faux) grille, a tinted windshield with a black frame, a pair of headlights, and a removable black soft top with a plastic rear window. Capping off the hot rod style are a set of “big and little” wheels wrapped with 10×4.50-5 slicks up front and 13×5.00-6 tires in the rear, which are covered with half moon-style polished hub caps.
Peek inside, and one will find a rather nice interior featuring a tan leather bench seat and side panels, red carpet, a pair of pedals, a quick-release steering yoke, a starter key, and buttons for the headlights, horn, and engine cut-off. As for motivation, that comes from a rear-mounted 212cc Predator single motor, which sends power to the wheels via a centrifugal clutch and drive chain, while stopping power is provided by a hydraulic disc brake out back.
This very cool Ford roadster style go kart isn’t the first such machine we’ve spotted at auction, as cool and unique as it might be. Rather, we came across another roadster-style go-kart a little over two years ago, as well as a 1930s style Ford golf cart just this past February.
