Ford Motor Company has filed a patent for a 2025 Lincoln Aviator diecast model, Ford Authority has learned.
The patent was filed on December 13th, 2023, published on July 8th, 2025, and assigned serial number 1082612.
The Ford Authority Take
Aside from filing patents that present us with all sorts of interesting and innovative features that may or may not make their way to future Ford vehicles, The Blue Oval also occasionally publishes patents that contain renderings of potential future diecast models, too. That list has most recently included diecast model patent filings for the refreshed Ford F-150 and F-150 Raptor, and now, we can add the refreshed 2025 Lincoln Aviator to that list as well.
The 2025 Lincoln Aviator made its official debut back in February 2024, sporting a host of updates inside and out. In the case of a diecast model such as this, it’s likely to focus mostly on the exterior updates – which, in the Aviator’s case, consist of revised front and rear fascias with an updated contoured mesh grille that’s also been raised a bit, coupled with new LED headlamps and running lamps that span the width of the front end. There are also some new exterior color options and wheel choices available as separate options or as part of optional packages, but it’s unclear just how broad a scope this diecast might offer in that regard – if it comes to fruition.
“Submitting patent applications is a normal part of any strong business as the process protects new ideas and helps us build a robust portfolio of intellectual property,” Ford said in a statement. “The ideas described within a patent application should not be viewed as an indication of our business or product plans. No matter what the patent application outlines, we will always put the customer first in the decision-making behind the development and marketing of new products and services.”

Interesting that the rendering depicts the charge port for the defunct PHEV which never carried over with the redesign.
