1989 Ford Crown Victoria LX With 70K Miles Up For Auction

In recent months, we’ve seen our fair share of newer Ford Crown Victoria models hit various collector car auctions across the web and sell for more and more money as people begin to appreciate the big sedan for what it is – a great vehicle that simply doesn’t exist anymore. However, that doesn’t mean older models aren’t just as loved, as we’ve seen plenty of nice examples of that boxier vehicle pop up for sale in recent months, too. That list now includes another one – this 1989 Ford Crown Victoria LX

This 1989 Ford Crown Victoria LX is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer with 70k miles on the clock, which isn’t the lowest we’ve seen, but reasonable given its age, nonetheless. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it remained in the possession of the original owner’s family until just this year, when their neighbor acquired it. Now, it’s looking for a new home with Rose Quartz Clearcoat Metallic paint that shows a few minor blemishes, along with 15-inch wheels wrapped with 215/70 Mastercraft SRT Touring tires.

Inside, one will find a front split-bench seat and a second-row bench seat trimmed in Cinnabar cloth, along with various woodgrain trim accents, a power-adjustable driver seat, air conditioning, cruise control, a digital clock, power windows and door locks, and the original AM/FM/cassette stereo.

Power for this particular sedan comes from the naturally-aspirated 5.0L V8, which in this guise was factory-rated to generate 150 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes that prior to their acquisition, the Crown Vic hadn’t been driven in around five years, but it has since received a service that has it roadworthy once again.

In addition to the 1989 Ford Crown Victoria, we’ve seen a couple other examples from this particular generation hit the auction block as of late – a list that includes a 1990 model with 32k miles, as well as a 1991 with 10k miles.

Brett's lost track of all the Fords he's owned over the years and how much he's spent modifying them, but his current money pits include an S550 Mustang and 13th gen F-150.
