We continue to see more and more nice, gently-used Lincoln Town Car models surface for sale these days, which is potentially a sign that it’s becoming more of a sought-after collectible. At the very least, it stands to reason that there are plenty of folks out there that miss the days when we could go out and buy a brand new, full-size, American luxury sedan, so this is about as close as we can get. No matter the reason, there are plenty of nice Lincoln Town Car sedans out there, ripe for the bidding – including this 1994 model.
This 1994 Lincoln Town Car is up for auction over at Bring a Trailer with just 35k miles on the clock, and its an Executive Series model that has lived its entire life in the state of Ohio thus far. On the outside, its Midnight Opal Clearcoat Metallic paint remains in mostly good condition, save for a few dents, dings, and scratches, joined by fading in certain spots and deteriorating window trim. The large sedan rolls on a set of 15-inch geometric-spoke aluminum wheels, wrapped with Firestone tires.
Inside, one will find Opal Gray leather upholstery that’s devoid of any major wear and tear, joined by the typical woodgrain trim accents throughout. In terms of amenities, those consist of a cassette stereo, cruise control, and automatic climate control.
Power for this particular Lincoln Town Car comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 4.6L V8, which in this guise was originally rated to produce 190 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It’s mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, but the seller notes that it may need new spark plugs and coil packs, due to the fact that the car runs a bit rough in cold weather.
In addition to this very nice Lincoln Town Car, we also spotted a 1995 model up for auction back in January, which had an also-low 42k miles on the clock at the time. However, we fully expect to see many more trading hands in the near future, too.
